Cold Start. He was arrested for speeding and…thanked the police

After a few weeks ago we told you about a Spanish pedestrian who ended up being fined for trying to warn drivers of the proximity of a camera, today we bring you the story of a driver who, after being arrested for speeding, decided to… thank police.

The unusual case took place in the French town of Annecy and was shared on Twitter by the police in the Haute-Savoie region in which that town is located. In the shared publication it is possible to see a handwritten letter in which a driver caught speeding thanks the police for having done so.

As the letter reads, the driver says that the detention served as an "eye opener" that made him see how dangerous he was on the roads and that the danger was not others, but himself, taking the opportunity to apologize to all road users that he has put at risk over the years and claiming that he accepts the fine that the police have given him in the meantime.
