In 65 years the world has changed a lot. Fortunately, the Toyota Land Cruiser knew how to evolve with the world and add some «tricks» to its range of off-road skills.
Owner of a remarkable rolling comfort, only the 2.8 D4-D engine shows some difficulties in containing its unrefined work. A trend that is more audible when idling and that fades away as speed increases.
So to answer the initial question: the Land Cruiser still makes perfect sense.
Only the uninviting price doesn't match, but… if you want an all-terrain “in house”, capable of everything and a pair of boots and with a level of “premium” comfort, this could very well be your next jeep.
