These are the first images of the new Citroën C4

Anonim

After several promises, and a long wait, behold, Citroën made known the first images of the new generation of the Citroën C4, which, in one stroke, replaces the C4 Cactus and the C4 sedan, which ceased to be marketed in 2018.

However, the simply called C4 kept the crossover genes of the C4 Cactus, adopting a fastback profile, very popular in the so-called “SUV-Coupé”.

For now, information about the new model is limited, but the presentation is scheduled for the next June 30th and its arrival on the market is scheduled for the second half of 2020,

Electric anticipates

As far as the platform is concerned, everything indicates that the new Citroën C4 uses the CMP, the same used by the Peugeot 208 and 2008, DS 3 Crossback, Opel Corsa and the future Opel Mokka.

Being a multi-energy platform, it means that we will have Citroën C4 engines with gasoline, diesel and also an electric motor. In fact, the unprecedented electric version, the ë-C4 (which is part of the brand's electrification strategy), is the first to be known in this first revelation of official images.

For now, there is still no data on any of the engines, including this ë-C4, and the internal combustion engines that will power the new Citroën C4 have not been released.

From what can be seen in the images, the new C4 will feature an induction smartphone charger and a head-up display.

Comfort, a bet from the past to the future

Among the still scarce information revealed about the new Citroën C4, there is one certainty: the French brand will bet heavily on comfort, as is its hallmark.

Therefore, as part of the Citroën Advanced Comfort program, the new C4 will feature “Progressive Hydraulic Cushions” (progressive hydraulic stops) and Advanced Comfort seats.
