THE McLaren-Mercedes MP4-25 with what Lewis Hamilton won the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Turkey in 2010, is going to auction this weekend and the chosen venue couldn't be better: Great Britain GP, at Silverstone.

This is the first successful single-seater by the seven-time F1 world champion to be auctioned and according to RM Sotheby's, the auctioneer responsible for the sale, it could fetch between 4.23 and 5.92 million euros.

Equipped with a 2.4 liter V8 engine, this McLaren-Mercedes MP4-25 is in perfect working order and represents, according to RM Sotheby’s, “an opportunity that will not be repeated”.

“The availability of this particular specimen is an opportunity that will not be repeated, given the scarcity of the model. Although client confidentiality prevents the exact disclosure of how many cars there are on private property, it is believed that they are few", explains the auctioneer.

Remember that the Turkish GP where Hamilton was victorious with this MP4-25 was the seventh race of the 2010 season and the British driver's first triumph at that time.

Hamilton started from second, behind Mark Webber and ahead of Sebastian Vettel, both of Red Bull Racing, in a race that was marked by a collision between the two men of the “bull team”, which thus paved the way for Hamilton's victory.
