Featured at the Abarth Days 2019 event, which took place this past weekend (October 5th and 6th) in Milan, Italy, the Abarth 695 70th Anniversary was the highlight of the 70th anniversary celebrations of the Italian brand.
This special edition of the small but effervescent 695 is limited to 1949 units — the year Carlo Abarth founded the company named after him — and brings with it more than just “cosmetic”.
The highlight goes to the new rear spoiler, with this one being manually adjustable, an absolute first for the model. Dubbed “Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile,” it's not just for show — it's performance tested in the FCA wind tunnel in Orbassano, south of Turin, Italy.
There are 12 positions to choose from, which allow you to adjust the spoiler's inclination between 0º and 60º. In its most upright position (60º), 42 kg extra aerodynamic load at 200 km/h.

Abarth Days 2019
A record-setting event: more than 5000 fans and 3000 Abarth vehicles were present in Milan at the Abarth Days 2019. The highlight was the presentation of the 695 70th Anniversary, with around 3500 "test drives" carried out on a circuit created specifically for this purpose, at the Milan Innovation District (MIND), with 3 km in length — the circuit was also opened to the private machines of its owners. There was also room to sit as co-driver in the 124th Rally competition, the model that has dominated the R-GT championship, for two years running.
Abarth guarantees greater stability at high speeds, especially on fast circuits, using as an example the Curvone (large curve) of the Vallelunga (Italy) circuit, which allowed for a reduction in steering corrections by almost 40%.

The “Spoiler ad Assetto Variabile” is accompanied by an exclusive look. The Abarth 695 70th Anniversary features a unique color scheme by combining the new Monza 1958 green tone — a tribute to the first 500 Abarth, with identical color, which would set six international records that year on the Monza circuit — with Campovolo gray accents , as the spoiler itself demonstrates.
The unique look continues inside with Sabelt's exclusive tricolor seats, in addition to incorporating a numbered plate.
Mechanically everything the same. The Abarth 695 70th Anniversary is equipped with the veteran 1.4 Turbo, here in its most powerful variant and with a sharp roar, thanks to the Record Monza active exhaust. There are 180 hp and 250 Nm of maximum torque , capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 6.7s and reaching a top speed of 225 km/h — if the new spoiler is in the 0° position.
It is also equipped with 17-inch SuperSport wheels and Brembo disc brakes — 305 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear — with red-painted four-piston callipers.
The Abarth 695 70th Anniversary is now available in Portugal, but prices have not yet been advanced.
