Skoda Students transform the Citigo into the ideal summer car

A few weeks ago, Skoda Sales Director Peter Solc hinted that the tiny Skoda Citigo might not have a successor. Perhaps that's why the Citigo was the model chosen by this group of 22 Skoda students, who decided to give a new look to the Czech proposal for the A segment. Thus was born the Skoda element.

The differences compared to the series model are obvious – others not so much. In addition to the roof and the B and C pillars, the Citigo also lost the side doors, culminating in a buggy-style bodywork. Plastic protections on the wheel arches, black accents on the bonnet and interior and the sound system in the luggage compartment complete the list of aesthetic novelties.

Skoda Element

Element is the result of 1500 hours of work.

The Skoda Element displays the same colors as the Vision E, the electric prototype presented at the last Shanghai Motor Show. Coincidence? Of course not…

In place of the combustion engine is an electric unit with 82 hp of power, enough for a summer trip in «zero emissions» mode. For obvious reasons, and unlike Vision E, Skoda Element will not go into production.

In 2014, the Citigo had already given rise to another cabriolet, the CitiJet, also developed by a group of students and presented at the Wörthersee festival. More recently, the Czech brand introduced us the Funstar pickup and the Atero coupé, based on the Rapid Spaceback.
