The Volkswagen T-Roc is about to be unveiled. It will be on August 23rd that we will get to know the new German SUV, positioned below the Tiguan.
This model is of vital importance not only for Volkswagen, but also for us, the Portuguese, as it will be produced at Autoeuropa's facilities.
In anticipation, the brand released a video about the T-Roc, allowing to observe different moments in the design process and even “accidentally” revealing many of the final characteristics.
Through the film, we learned that the Volkswagen T-Roc will be one of the most customizable models of the brand and also one of the most colorful. This may bring out memories of the Harlequin Polo, but the T-Roc won't be as drastic, featuring a two-tone bodywork, with new, more vibrant tones like blue, yellow and orange. Color that will also “invade” the passenger compartment, with several contrasting chromatic notes.
The film also reveals the presence of a digital instrument panel, a feature that the Volkswagen T-Roc will share with the Golf, and also with the new generation of Polo.
The Volkswagen T-Roc will use the MQB platform, the same as the Golf, and appears to be a more playful and urban proposal than the Tiguan. The latter grew in the latest generation, not only physically, but also in positioning. The space it left vacant will be occupied by the T-Roc, considered by many to be the Golf SUV.
