Portuguese technology in the hands of more than 1 million BMW drivers

Anonim

More than one million BMW drivers around the world use Portuguese technology developed by Critical TechWorks, a joint venture between the BMW Group and Critical Software, a technology company based in Coimbra.

With more than two years of activity, Critical TechWorks has delivered more than 50 projects to the BMW Group. The new My BMW and MINI App apps are perhaps one of the most important projects to date.

Last year, some features developed by the Portuguese company in Munich brand cars had already been launched, such as locating and accessing the vehicle remotely to unlock or lock doors, activate the air conditioning, find parking places and filling stations or charging stations nearby, view the fuel status and monitor the vehicle's surroundings via Remote 3D View.

From now on, and again with the contribution of Critical Software, it will be possible to define, through the application, the desired temperatures at certain times or situations and the loading plans that allow reaching selected destinations.

In addition to all this, the BMW Maps system has a completely redesigned menu and there is now a filter function for the charging station search, making it possible to quickly add or remove various search parameters (provider, compatibility, load speed, among others).

We are focused on the user experience and providing a premium experience in the app, meeting the needs of drivers. We seek to ensure that the user achieves an increasing degree of synchrony with the car, easily interacting with the vehicle and ensuring its condition.

It's no surprise how successful the joint venture is with BMW customers. The updates of these new applications reflect the Group's investment in building an increasingly sustainable and connected future, allied to high-performance technology.

In addition to the My BMW App, which from July this year will permanently replace the BMW Connected App, the MINI App, launched in 2020 and replacing the MINI Connected, is also available.
