Does Portugal have many radars?

Anonim

Whether on avenues, national roads or highways, radars are today as common a presence in driving as traffic lights or traffic signals, there has even been a famous television presenter (yes, it was Jeremy Clarkson) who accused them of forcing us to look more towards the side of the road in search of him than towards… the road itself.

The truth is, whether you're a lead foot or a light foot, the chances are that at least once since you've been driving, you've been left with the following question: did I overspeed pass a radar? But are there so many radars in Portugal?

A graph released by the Spanish website Statista (which, as the name indicates, is dedicated to statistical analysis) revealed which countries in Europe have more (and less radar) and one thing is certain: in this case we are really at the “tail” of Europe.

The results

Based on data from the SCBD.info website, the list created by Statista indicates that Portugal has 1.0 radar per thousand square kilometers. For example, in Spain this number rises to 3.4 radars per thousand square kilometers.

Given this number Portugal appears as the 13th European country with more radars, far from countries like France (6.4 radars), Germany (12.8 radars) and even Greece, which has 2.8 radars per thousand square kilometers.

At the top of the list revealed by Statista, the European countries with the most radars per thousand square kilometers are Belgium (67.6 radars), Malta (66.5 radars), Italy (33.8 radars) and the United Kingdom (31 ,3 radars).

On the other hand, Denmark (0.3 radars), Ireland (0.2 radars) and Russia (0.2 radars) appear, although in this case the small number is most likely helped by the enormous size of the parents.
