The new Volkswagen Golf is part of the second generation of MQB models, which made it possible to reduce costs in preparation for production by more than half: 80% of the production unit for bodies and equipment was reused. Productivity has increased by 40% and will increase further with the introduction of 23 autonomous material handling robots in 2020, with productivity gains of 7%.
