Cold Start. What hides the mega double kidney of the BMW M3 and M4?

Anonim

It still remains a fertile source of lively discussions, but in the case of BMW M3 and M4 , more than a style statement, the XXL double kidney seems to be more of a necessity.

This is precisely what we can see in the video from the BMW M YouTube channel. They decided to show what is behind the huge double kidney, removing the bumper… and there doesn't seem to be room for anything else. It's all “full” of radiators that are part of the cooling system.

Immediately behind the double rim we have the main radiator (includes a 1000 W fan and a protection against stones), 40 mm in a more advanced position than other 3/4 Series, to better fulfill its function.

Below it, we can see the oil radiator of the automatic gearbox (the manual does not need it) and beside it the front radar (for driving assistants). Beside these items, we have the air ducts for the brakes.

Peeking under the BMW M3 and M4 we can also see the radiator for the coolant on the right side and another one, in the middle, for the engine oil.
