THE GLEX Summit (The Explorers Club”s Global Exploration Summit), the event about exploration and science that is taking place between Lisbon and São Miguel, in the Azores, has just caught the Lexus “hitchhiker”, which joins the project that brings together the main explorers of the present time.
With Mars and the Oceans as the central themes of this year's edition, which takes place between the 6th and 10th of July, the GLEX Summit brings together scientists and explorers such as Nina Lanza, NASA team leader, the new president of the Explorers Club of New York , astronaut Richard Garriott and Alan Stern, an astrophysicist and aerospace engineer at NASA, supported this year by Lexus.
The Japanese brand will be represented at this global event by the UX 300e, its first tram. “Lexus' first 100% electric car will go hand-in-hand with the fearless who push the envelope of daring in search of new possibilities for the good of humanity. Second edition to be in Portugal again
The second edition of the event — whose motto is to explore and learn — takes place again in Portugal (the first was in 2019) and is part of the commemorations of the 500th anniversary of Fernão de Magalhães' circumnavigation voyage.
The event, which opens in Lisbon and ends in São Miguel, Azores, is broadcast online and is organized by the Portuguese company Expanding World and the Explorers Club of New York.
