Google this week updated its Android Auto application. From now on it can be used in any car.

Does your car not have an Android Auto compatible infotainment system? No problem. From now on, you will be able to use this feature in any vehicle, and everything through your smartphone . Thanks to the new update, the Google application can be used in two different modes, with an interface similar to what we see on a car screen.

To do this, simply download the application from Google Play, which is compatible with any Android device with an operating system 5.0 or higher.

After having granted some permissions related to receiving and sending calls and messages, you will have access to the application. In addition to maps, Android Auto is available with voice commands (Ok Google function), so you don't have to take your eyes off the road, and also music applications like Spotify or Google Play Music, among others.

For now, this latest version of Android Auto is available in just 30 countries. Portugal is not included in this initial phase.
