Have you seen several Lamborghini with mustaches in Lisbon? It was all for a good cause

Last weekend, for those traveling between Cascais and Lisbon, you might have come across several Lamborghini with an intriguing adornment: a mustache on the front hood.

It was all part of an action to support Movember, which has the mustache as a symbol, being one of the world's largest fundraising initiatives for the prevention and treatment of male diseases such as prostate and testicular cancer, as well as supporting the mental health.

Lamborghini also joined the movement, which resulted in the gathering of around 1500 models of the Italian mustache brand in various cities around the world, such as New York, London, Sydney, Bangkok, Rome, Cape Town and, of course, Lisbon .

Altogether, the fundraising campaign takes place in more than 20 countries simultaneously, with more than 6.5 million supporters in the world, which has already raised 765 million euros.

This year, the event in Portugal also had the presence of actor Ricardo Carriço, who accepted to show his face for the initiative:

“It is with great pleasure that I participate in such a noble cause as this one. It is very important that men, who tend to undervalue certain symptoms, take care of their health. In Portugal, every year, more than six thousand new cases of prostate cancer appear, one in five Portuguese suffer from mental health problems, among many other diseases, whose prevention is always the key so that they do not become fatal. It is commendable to see brands that, apparently, have nothing to do with the topic, support and mobilize to create greater awareness for topics as important as this one. It is with these types of initiatives that we make a difference and the world becomes a little better place.”

Movember was created in Australia 18 years ago and the name derives from the words “Mustache” (moustache) and “November” (November).

It is the Movember organization that manages fundraising through a platform where donations can be made. The amount raised will then be used to invest in the various projects supported by the organization.
