Dedicated to the area of corporate mobility and fleet management, the Fleet Magazine announced the winners of the 2020 edition of the “Fleet Magazine Awards”.
Sponsored by Verizon Connect, the Fleet Magazine Awards aim to highlight vehicles, services and the work of companies, in favor of greater efficiency and energy performance of their car fleets.
In the 2020 edition, Fleet Magazine decided not to award the “Person of the Year Award”, justifying the decision based on the particular circumstances related to the pandemic.
The winners
Although the “Person of the Year Award” was not awarded, the remaining prizes were all awarded. In this list you can know the winners:
- BMW 330e Touring PHEV — Business Car (light passenger);
- Volkswagen e-Crafter — Company Car (light commercial);
- Kia e-Niro — Electric Company Car;
- Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TDI — Company Car up to €27,500;
- BMW 330e Touring PHEV — Business Car €27,500 to €35,000;
- LeasePlan — Best Fleet Manager;
- EDP — Green Fleet and Fleet of the Year.

The nomination of the “Fleet Magazine Awards” is the responsibility of a jury made up of representatives of entities outside the award's promoter. In this way, the choice of vehicles that compete for the different categories of the “Corporate Car Award” is the responsibility of a group of fleet managers and decision-makers for the purchase of vehicles for their companies.
The Volkswagen Golf 2.0 TDI received the "Business Car up to €27,500" award
In addition to electing the winners of the various categories of the "Corporate Car Award", this jury is also responsible for electing the "Frota Manager Award".
The nomination of the winners of the “Frota Verde Award” is the responsibility of ADENE, the Energy Agency, which assesses the performance of fleets according to the criteria of MOVE+, a system that assesses and classifies the energy performance of car fleets. The winner receives a MOVE+ Certificate, which defines and classifies the energy efficiency level of the company's car park distinguished by the award.
Finally, the winner of the “Frota of the Year Award” is chosen by the six main fleet management companies. This choice is made according to the assessment they make of the projects submitted annually by the competing companies.
