Bugatti EB110. The last Bugatti before the Volkswagen era

Unveiled in 1991, this mid-engined two-door supercar delights dream machine lovers. It was the first and only model produced under the umbrella of Romano Artioli, an Italian entrepreneur who brought Bugatti back to the limelight before it was acquired by the Volkswagen group in 1998.

On a technical level the Bugatti EB110 was pure engineering. After all these years, its technical specifications continue to impress: 60-valve V12 engine (5 valves per cylinder), 3.5 liters of capacity, six-speed manual transmission and four turbos, 560 hp of power and all-wheel drive system. These specs offered breathtaking performances: acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 343 km/h.

Unfortunately, production of the Bugatti EB110 ended four years later, at which point Bugatti went bankrupt — it was later acquired by Volkswagen in 1998. In total, only 139 units of the Bugatti EB110 were produced.

In this video, you can learn about the story behind this iconic model, told by the three men who, in the early 90's, dared to revive one of the most important brands in the history of the automobile industry. Che macchina!
