Cold Start. Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 has a full-scale Lego replica

Anonim

THE Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 it is not the first car that Lego has decided to recreate with its famous full-scale plastic parts: in 2018 it did the same for the Bugatti Chiron.

And just like in this copy, this Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 impresses… From the outset by the number of parts needed: 400 thousand!

However, it “only” uses 154 different types of Lego Technic pieces, with 20 to be created specifically for this project. Among them, a highlight is the one used in the “skin” of the model, which appears to be formed by small hexagons.

Hopefully, it's not a task to occupy a Sunday afternoon: Lego says production took 3290 hours to which we have to add 5370 hours of development, involving a 15-person team including engineers and builders based in the Czech Republic.

The Lego Sián managed to replicate the exact dimensions of the Lamborghini Sián (4980 mm long, 2101 mm wide and 1133 mm high), but it ended up being much heavier: 2200 kg against (estimated) 1600 kg.

The application of color (made by the Lamborghini's own painter) and light (functional headlamps and taillights) should also be highlighted, with Lego using LED strips to accentuate some of the design features of its Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.
