Cold Start. EV Electra Quds Rise, Lebanon's first electric sports car

Anonim

Founded by Jihad Mohammad, a Lebanese businessman, EV Electra is a new brand of electric vehicles and the Quds Rise its first model, whose first prototype was presented recently.

It's a sporty two-seater rear-wheel drive, with just 160 hp, but advertises around five seconds at 0-100 km/h and 165 km/h top speed. The excellent acceleration value may have something to do with the Quds Rise's contained mass of just 1100 kg.

A low value for an electric, even with a 50 kWh battery that promises a range of 450 km. The secret for its light mass may lie in the aluminum platform it uses and in the fiberglass bodywork.

The interior is dominated by a generous 15.9″ high touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard, with a small digital display behind the steering wheel.

The Quds Rise, which is expected to cost around €25,000, won't be EV Electra's only model. The brand has already announced a four-door sedan (Quds Capital ES) and another coupé, but four-seater with gull-wing doors (Quds Nostrum E.E.) and a taxi (Ecab). Obviously, all will be electric.
