About 19 years after the launch of its first generation, the sportier version of the Octavia was also electrified, giving rise to the Skoda Octavia RS iV.
As we told you when we unveiled the first teasers of the sportier version of the Czech family member, this one started to use a plug-in hybrid mechanic, a solution already adopted by the “cousins” CUPRA Leon and Volkswagen Golf GTE.
Two engines, 245 hp combined power
Therefore, it combines a 1.4 TSI with 150 hp to an electric motor with 85 kW (115 hp) and 330 Nm, achieving a combined power of 245 hp and 400 Nm that is sent to the front wheels through a six DSG box. speeds.
Equipped with a 13 kWh battery capacity, the Octavia RS iV is capable of traveling up to 60 km in 100% electric mode (according to the WLTP cycle). Adopting the plug-in hybrid system allows Skoda to announce CO2 emissions of just 30 g/km (provisional figures).

Finally, in terms of performance, the Skoda Octavia RS iV meets 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3s and reaches 225 km/h of maximum speed.
A style to match
As you would expect, the style of the Octavia RS iV meets the sporting pretensions of this version.
Therefore, the Skoda Octavia RS iV has a new bumper, new grille, specific LED fog lights, rear diffuser, spoiler (in the hatchback it is black in the van, it appears in the body color), 18" wheels (in option can be 19”) and brake calipers in red.
Inside, the predominant color is black. The sports steering wheel features the “RS” logo and has paddles that allow you to operate the DSG box.
The Octavia RS iV also has sports seats (optional you can have the Ergo seats upholstered in leather and Alcantara), aluminum pedals and saw the dashboard lined with Alcantara.
When arrives?
For now, it is not known when the new Skoda Octavia RS iV will be available in Portugal or how much it will cost.
