At the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, we found there was still room for one more SUV at Mazda positioned between the CX-3 and the CX-5. Mazda decided to call it not CX-4, as expected, but rather CX-30 — new nomenclature for the brand's SUVs?
The Mazda CX-30 is directly related to the new Mazda3, inheriting from it the new generation of SKYACTIV-Vehicle Architecture, the SKYACTIV-G and SKYACTIV-D engines, and even the… interior.
A 24 V mild-hybrid system will be part of the gasoline engines, which includes the revolutionary SKYACTIV-X — a gasoline engine that promises consumption at the level of a diesel engine — which will be added later to the range.
Compared to the Mazda3 that we've already had the opportunity to drive, the advantage of the greater volume of the Mazda CX-30's bodywork is even the availability of interior space.
