As you may know by now, the new “Lancia” Stratos is, in essence, a Ferrari 430 Scuderia that has been shortened, lightened and boosted. This means a stark and naturally aspirated V8 with 4.3 l behind us and 540 hp , allowing the New Stratos to be launched in 3.3s up to 100 km/h and reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.
It was a long and not always peaceful development, but after nine years, after being revealed to the world as a prototype commissioned by Michael Stoschek, the New Stratos finally sees the first unit produced.
This first unit, out of a total of 25 , comes equipped with a semi-automatic box, but the big news at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show was the revelation of a copy with a manual box, making the MAT New Stratos, from our point of view, simply perfect.
