After having unveiled the new generation of the Kia e-Soul and the respective version aimed at the North American market, Kia brought to the 2019 Geneva Motor Show the European version of its crossover and the big news is that it is only available in its electric variant.

Visually identical to the e-Soul we saw in Los Angeles (the only difference is the possibility of ordering the SUV pack that offers a more radical look), the European version will have two versions that differ both in battery capacity and autonomy and on potency.

The base version, the Standard Range it has a battery with 39.2 kWh of capacity, offers 100 kW (136 hp) of power, 395 Nm of torque and a 277 km range . version long range it has a battery with 64 kWh of capacity, 150 kW (204 hp) of power, 395 Nm of torque and 452 km of autonomy.

Kia Niro renewed approaching e-Niro

Another of Kia's new additions in Geneva was the renovated Kia Niro , which saw the plug-in hybrid and hybrid version aesthetically approach the 100% electric e-Niro. The changes arise in the bumpers (front and rear) which are inspired by those of the electric version and also in the adoption of LED daytime running lights.

Kia e-Soul
The new Kia e-Soul will be the first Kia model to receive the UVO Connect system in Europe.

As for the interior, the only thing to highlight is the adoption of new materials, the disappearance of the mechanical handbrake and also the new 10.25” screen and the 7” instrument panel.

Kia Niro

The prices of e-Soul or Niro are not yet known, however, the first has a date to reach the market towards the end of the first quarter of the year and the second should start selling during the second quarter of 2019.
