We had known him for about two months, but we had to wait for the 2019 Geneva Motor Show before we could see him live. THE Porsche 911 Cabriolet made its first public appearance in the Swiss salon.

Initially, and as with the Coupé, which we've even tested it on video , the 911 Cabriolet will be available in two versions (Carrera S Cabriolet and Carrera 4S Cabriolet) both of which use the 3.0 l 450 hp turbo six-cylinder boxer combined with the new eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

In terms of performance, the rear-wheel-drive Carrera S Cabriolet reaches 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9s (3.7s if you have the Sport Chrono Package) and reaches a top speed of 306 km/h. The Carrera 4S Cabriolet (all-wheel drive) reaches 304 km/h and reaches 100 km/h in 3.8s (3.6s with the Sport Chrono Package).

Faster hood

Not only is the car faster than its predecessor, the hood — in canvas and with a glass window — of the new 911 Cabriolet also opens and closes faster, thanks to a new hydraulic system, needing only 12s to complete the opening or closing , being able to circulate up to a speed of 50 km/h.
