THE Toyota Corolla was the highlight of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show for the Japanese brand, and came up with not one, but two new versions. One with a sportier character, the other more adventurous.
The sporty version goes by the name of Corolla GR SPORT and is the second member of the European GR SPORT “family”. Available as a hatchback and estate, it distinguishes itself from the rest of Corolla by its grille with black chrome finishes, side skirts, rear diffuser, 18” wheels and two-tone paintwork, sport seats and red accents.
The adventurous version, the TREK , comes with an additional 20 mm in height to the ground, exterior protections and 17” wheels. Inside, the focus is on the 7” infotainment screen, specific seats and several exclusive decorative elements.
Available on all engines
Both the Corolla GR SPORT and the Corolla TREK use the same powertrains as the rest of the Toyota C-segment model range. Thus, under the bonnet of both versions we find the engines 1.8 and 2.0 hybrids of 122 hp and 180 hp, respectively.

As for the date of arrival on the market, the Corolla GR SPORT should start marketing in January of next year. The Corolla TREK is scheduled to arrive in August 2019, and the prices and date of arrival in Portugal are not yet known.
