Mercedes-Benz is one of the brands that bet the most on the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. From the restyling of the GLC to the final edition of the Mercedes-AMG S65, the Stuttgart brand soared in all directions.
One of those "shots" was the presentation of the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake 2019 . It is the 2nd generation of one of the best-selling models in the ever-widening Class A range.

Different. But only after Pillar B
Compared to its brother CLA Coupé, the new CLA Shooting Brake is virtually the same model up to Pillar B. It is from there that the first differences begin to emerge, with the CLA Shooting Brake taking on the shapes of the debuted bodywork for the first time. in the German brand, in 2012, with the CLS Shooting Brake.
Since then, the bet on this sporty van format has never ceased. CLA Shooting Brake is the latest chapter in this saga.
Moreover, in aesthetic terms, the highlight goes to the elongated bonnet and the more prominent rear wheel arches. All designed to give you a sportier look.
Bigger and more spacious
In terms of dimensions, the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake 2019 is 4.68 m long, 1.83 m wide and 1.44 m high. Values compared to the previous generation translate into 48 mm more in length, 53 mm wider, but it's also 2 mm shorter.
This increase in exterior dimensions was naturally reflected in the interior, albeit timidly: just 1 cm more for the legs and shoulders of the rear seat occupants. — better than nothing… As far as suitcase capacity is concerned, we now have 505 l available — 10 l more than its predecessor.
Inside the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake
As for the rest of the interior, there is nothing new. It was (as was predictable) entirely modeled on the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class and CLA Coupé.
In other words, we have the MBUX infotainment system, with two screens arranged horizontally and with a huge array of LED lights that allow us to change the «environment» of the car.

The first engine announced for Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake is the 225 hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol turbo, reserved for the CLA 250 Shooting Brake version.

Update March 6, 2019: Mercedes-Benz confirmed in a statement that CLA Shooting Brake will arrive in our market in September, with several engines — Diesel and Gasoline —, manual and dual-clutch gearbox, as well as 4MATIC (all-wheel drive) versions.
