Taking advantage of the celebration of Peugeot's 210 years, the association “L’Aventure Peugeot” launched a new project: restoring and selling old models of the brand. The first? One Peugeot 205 GTi.

In this project, the vehicles will be restored in the workshops of the Musée de l’Aventure Peugeot. Once the restoration is complete, they will receive a certificate of authenticity before being offered for sale.

In total, the restorations will involve specialized teams of mechanics, assemblers, upholsterers and bodybuilders.

Spare parts are the key

This new activity of “L’Aventure Peugeot” is only possible thanks to the work that this association has been developing over the last seven years in the field of spare parts supply.

To better respond to this challenge, “L’Aventure Peugeot” has transformed its logistics space into stock storage.

To find some of the missing parts, historical specialists will be subcontracted, and additional production of 3D components is also being considered.

The Peugeot 205 GTi

As we told you, the first model to be restored under this project will be a Peugeot 205 GTi, more precisely an example equipped with a 1.9l engine.

Originally launched in 1984 with a 1.6 l engine with 105 hp capacity, in 1986 the 205 GTi saw the arrival of a version equipped with the 1.9 l 128 hp (122 hp in catalytic versions) engine used by the “big brother”, the 309 GTi.
