With 41 teams and 175 riders registered, it is next Sunday, April 7th, that the first test of the C1 Learn & Drive Trophy leaves for the track at the Braga circuit. Among the various Citroën C1 on the starting grid, there will be, with the number 911, a very special C1, that of the Razão Automóvel/Escape Livre team!

Contrary to what was initially planned, the number of cars on the track will be 41 instead of 40. According to Motor Sponsor, organizer of the trophy, the registration of another team was made possible thanks to the fact that Multitendas have assembled 20 tents in an extra paddock so that each team has an exclusive space.

In addition to the race itself, the organization will provide a Fun Zone with free access in Braga's paddock. According to André Marques, managing partner at Motor Sponsor and mentor of the project, the objective is that “families, friends and the rest of the public who travel to Braga bring an excellent memory”.

A weekend packed with activities

Although the race itself will only start at 12:30, for the teams the weekend will be much longer. On Saturday, from 9am onwards, the extra training sessions (which extend until 6pm) begin. On the same day, and at the same time as the extra training sessions, checks will take place from 10am to 5pm.

On Sunday, it's time to define the starting grid order. For this purpose, timed training starts at 8:30 am and continues until 10:30 am. From there until the beginning of the race, there is time for a parade on the track, the necessary grid formation and still for the typical family photography.

At 12:30 pm, the starting order is given with the checkered flag appearing just 6 hours later, at 6:30 pm, marking the end of a competition that is the first step towards achieving the final victory in the trophy, and earning the opportunity to compete in the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps (the final prize of the C1 Learn & Drive Trophy is registration for the Belgian test).
