After the success of the 911 T—“T” for Touring—Porsche applied the same recipe to its two 718 models. 718 T they uniquely combine the chassis of the 718 S with the 2.0 l four-cylinder boxer engine and 300 hp.

As you would expect, the new 718 T differs from the access 718 through stylistic and decorative details. These include door handles in black, and two-way electrically adjustable sports seats — centers in black Sport-Tex fabric and embossed “718” logo on the headrests.
Inside we still find a GT sports steering wheel with 360 mm diameter , with the skin adorning various surfaces. The instrument panel features new decorative trims in gloss black (also present on the center console) and the 718 Boxster T and 718 Cayman T logos. The latter can also be found on the door sills.
As on the 911 T, the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system in Porsche language is not present, although it can be included at an additional cost.
On the outside, in addition to 20-inch titanium gray wheels and 20 mm less ground clearance, the new 718 Boxster T and 718 Cayman T are distinguished by their Agate gray mirror covers, the 718 Boxster T and 718 logos. Cayman T on the doors, and the double central exhaust in black.

With the 2.0 boxer turbo at 300hp and 380Nm no different than the other 718 — now with a particulate filter — it's no surprise that the benefits do not change , despite the 1350 kg (DIN, version with manual gearbox) of the 718 T slightly surpassing the 1335 kg of the regular 718.
These are of a very good standard, as we can see from 5.1s to reach 100 km/h with the manual transmission, or 4.7s when equipped with the PDK in Sport Plus mode (one of the four driving modes that come with the Sport Chrono package), and a top speed of 275 km/h.
Still regarding driving, the 718 Boxster T and 718 Cayman T have dynamic gearbox mounts , or PADM, which minimizes vibrations in the engine and gearbox area, optimizing the dynamic behavior, making it more precise and stable during mass transfers that occur when changing lanes or in fast corners.

How much does it cost?
The Porsche 718 Boxster T and 718 Cayman T are already priced in Portugal and are available to order. The 718 Cayman T starts at €78,135 and the 718 Boxster T at €80,399 . According to Porsche, considering the equipment included, customers of the new 718 T enjoy a benefit of between 5-10% when compared to entry-level models with similar equipment level.
