Launched about a year ago in the Portuguese market, the Volvo XC40 was the first Volvo model to use the Swedish brand's modular platform for compact vehicles, the CMA – Compact Modular Architecture.

At a time when Diesel has seen its future much questioned, Guilherme Costa tested the XC40 D3, that is, one of the Diesel versions of the smallest Volvo SUV. Equipped with a 2.0 l engine, the XC40 in the D3 version presents itself with 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque.

The unit that Guilherme had the opportunity to ride was equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox, and in terms of consumption, the Volvo announces values between 5.5 and 5.9 l/100km (which Guilherme could prove to be true). The benefits announced are 9.9s from 0 to 100 km/h and 200 km/h of maximum speed.
