Already put to the test in Amsterdam by Diogo, the Kauai Hybrid now arrives on the national market, establishing itself as the third member of the “family” Kauai, joining the Kauai with heat engine and the 100% electric version, the Kauai Electric.
Among the novelties of the new Kauai Hybrid, we highlight the renewed infotainment system with a 10.25” (optional) screen (as standard, 7”) and the possibility of having the Blue Link, a system that allows it to be locked. or unlock it through an app.
This new infotainment system also features the ECO-DAS (or ECO-Driving Assist System), an assistant that helps us save as much fuel as possible.
How much will it cost?
Equipped with a 1.56 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery, the Kauai Hybrid combines the 1.6 GDI with 105 hp and 147 Nm with an electric motor of 43.5 hp (32 kW) and 170 Nm, obtaining the final result 141 hp and 265 Nm.

The transmission is powered by a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox and power is sent to the front wheels. In terms of performance, the Kauai Hybrid delivers 0 to 100 km/h in 11.2s (11.6s if we opt for 18″ wheels).
As for consumption, Hyundai announces consumption of 3.9 l/100 km (4.3 l/100 km with 18” wheels), this still in accordance with the NEDC cycle. Already available on the national market, the Kauai Hybrid starts at 29,500 euros , backed by the usual seven-year unlimited mileage warranty.
