The factory in Solihull, UK, has been producing the Land Rover Defender since 1947. Almost seven decades later the 2 million unit rolled off the production line.

Land Rover invited several fan personalities of the brand to closely monitor the production of this 2,000,000 Land Rover Defender, including Bear Grylls. During the last month, several people passed through Solihull, the factory that has been producing Defender for 67 years, and even ended up leaving their signature on the commemorative plaque that accompanies this unit.

The changes compared to the normal Land Rover Defender are visible in terms of the exterior and interior, all of them referring to the history of the Land Rover Defender to this mark of 2 million units produced.

Outside, it's impossible not to notice the design at Red Wharf Bay, where the first Land Rover Defender sketch was drawn in the sand. From the rims to the door handles there is a special paint, Santorini Black. The body panels are painted in a special metallic silver. Certifying this edition is a commemorative plaque, placed on the back.

Inside, the identifying features of this special edition continue to stand out. The leather upholstery received the Red Wharf Bay design as well as the 2,000,000 numbering. On the driver's seat is the plaque signed by everyone who helped build this special unit.

As a reference to the first pre-production model of the Land Rover Defender, registration plates with the initials “S90 HUE” were also placed. This commemorative edition of the Land Rover Defender will be auctioned at the end of the year and the funds will revert to humanitarian and nature conservation institutions.
