RM Sotheby's will hold an auction on December 6th in New York, USA, correctly titled “Icons”. A title more than adequate to the Delta HF Integrale. An auction that stands out for the presence not only of this irreproachable example of the “Deltona”, but also of the BMW Z8 that belonged to Steve Jobs and even for the presence of the new Bugatti Chiron — the first unit destined for the USA, never driven, never registered .

The unit being auctioned, a 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione, is one of 400 units in “Giallo Ferrari” (yellow Ferrari). This unit has never been altered, maintaining factory specifications. And despite being 25 years old, unfortunately it doesn't seem to have had much use, with only 6487 km on the odometer.The care taken in preserving this model can be noted for keeping the manuals, jack, tools and even the emergency triangle. Like all “Evo1” Deltas, it comes equipped with a 2.0 liter turbo inline four-cylinder engine with 210 hp.
Why New York?
Lancia was officially present in the US only between 1975 and 1982. Cars like the Delta HF Integrale were never sold or even approved for circulation in the US. However, US law allows cars not approved in the US to be imported if they are 25 years old or older — precisely the number of years this Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione has.
