BMW M4 Shooting Brake. More interesting than an M3 Touring?

We're never happy, apparently. If the M3 van responds to the desires of many who were looking for an alternative to the RS proposals from Audi and AMG, behold, this amateur designer, originally from China, who calls himself Sugar Chow, presents us with an alternative BMW M4 Shooting Brake.

Named by its author the BMW M4 Gran Touring Xperformance Edition, we can see that up to the B-pillar it remains the BMW M4 we know — massive double kidney included.

From there to the rear it gains a new rear volume, with the roof extending horizontally, as is usual to see in other vans and… it doesn't seem to look bad.

We see remnants of the distinguished BMW Z3 Coupé, although the larger dimensions of the M4 contribute to a greater balance in the proportions of the entire vehicle. Note the small detail of the BMW symbol on the C-pillar, à la X2.

Would a BMW M4 Shooting Brake be a good addition to the range? We believe so, but now, with the planned arrival of a BMW M3 Touring, it wouldn't make much sense to go ahead with this option.
