And the best-selling electric car in Europe is…the Nissan Leaf

Anonim

A few months ago we told you that Nissan sold a Leaf every ten minutes. Well, this frenetic pace of sales ended up taking the Nissan Leaf to become the best-selling electric car in Europe last year, with more than 40 thousand units sold in the Old Continent.

Among the European markets, the one where the Nissan Leaf stands out the most is, without a doubt, the Norwegian one. In that country, not only did the Nissan Leaf sell more than 12 thousand units, but it managed to surpass all other models on sale in Norway, becoming the absolute leader in sales.

Around here, the Japanese model also saw sales grow in 2018. Thus, it went from 319 units sold in 2017 to 1593 units in 2018, a growth of 399.4%, much higher than the general growth of the national electric car market which stood at 136.7%.

Renew to continue to lead

Despite the success the Leaf has had, Nissan hasn't stopped looking for ways to improve it. Proof of this is the renewal that the model was targeted and that gave rise to Leaf 3.Zero and Leaf 3.Zero e+ Limited Edition.
