The facelift of the Audi A3 and S3 relies on a range of more efficient engines and premium on-board technology. Limousine, three-door, cabrio or sportback, which do you choose?

The new exterior features of the renewed Audi A3 are instantly recognizable, where the new design of the headlights, grille and rear diffuser stands out. In addition to the matrix LED lights, which Audi only offered as an option on higher-end models, we now also find the 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit debuted by the latest generation Audi TT and available on the new Audi Q7 and Audi A4. The infotainment system continues with the same dimensions (seven inches), now integrating Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Audi A3 powertrain range is distributed between a new 1.0 TFSI three-cylinder block with 115hp and 199Nm, which replaces the current 1.2 TFSI. In petrol options, you can also count on a 1.4 liter engine with 150hp and 249Nm, a new 2.0 liter engine with 190hp and 319Nm. In the diesel offer, the version highlighted as the most economical features a 1.6 TDI engine with 110hp. Still in terms of TDI engines, we find a 2.0 liter engine with 150hp and 338Nm or 184hp and 379Nm.

The more muscular version (S3), had a slight increase in horsepower (+ 10 hp), now producing 310 hp. The most efficient and environmentally friendly version integrates a plug-in hybrid engine (Audi A3 e-tron), split between a 1.4 liter TFSI block and an electric motor that deliver a combined power of 204hp. The natural gas variant (g-tron), with a 1.4 liter engine that produces 110hp, will not be available for the Portuguese market.
