Presented to the public earlier this year, the Nissan Leaf 3.Zero and the limited edition Leaf 3.Zero e+ are already available in Portugal. The first bets on a technological reinforcement, while the limited series debuts a larger capacity battery that allows it to offer more power and autonomy.
But let's go by parts. The “normal” Nissan Leaf 3.Zero continues to rely on the usual 40 kWh battery capacity. Therefore, the novelties are in terms of the technological offer. Thus, Nissan's electric model now has the new generation of the NissanConnect EV system and an 8″ screen.
The limited edition Leaf 3.Zero e+ has a 62 kWh battery capacity. which allows a 40% increase in autonomy compared to other Leaf (It has a range of up to 385 km according to the WLTP cycle).
Furthermore, in this limited edition the power has also gone up, going to 217 hp (160 kW), an increase of 67 hp over the Leaf we already know.
Good sales year before renewal
The Nissan Leaf renewal comes after a year in which it led sales of electric cars in Europe and Portugal. Thus, at European level, around 41 thousand units of Leaf, and in Portugal the Nissan model went from 319 units in 2017 to 1593 in 2018, numbers that translate into a growth of 399.4%.

Priced at 39,000 euros for the Leaf 3.Zero and 45,500 euros for the limited edition Leaf 3.Zero e+ , the renewed Leaf may even become cheaper, since these values do not have any campaigns or tax incentives.
Already available in our market, the first Leaf 3.Zero units should be delivered in May. The first Leaf 3.Zero e+ customers are expected to receive them in the summer.
