Introduced just over a month ago, the Series 3 Touring was the missing element in the familiar German range. Widely praised for its versatility, there are several features that allow the 3 Series van to be more “family friendly”.
However, if some of these features stand out (such as the trunk with 500 liters of capacity) others seem to “pass by” those who buy the Series 3 Touring.
This is affirmed by Stefan Horn, product director for the 3 Series Touring, who in an interview with Autocar said that most van owners did not know that the rear window opens separately from the trunk (something that is already a tradition among BMW vans) .

The disillusionment with this lack of knowledge is such among executives at the German brand that Horn even asked the British publication to write about the matter, saying "we need customers to know about this or it will disappear".
