Polestar 2 already has prices for (some) European markets

About seven months after being made known at the Geneva Motor Show, the Polestar 2 saw its confirmed prices for the markets where it will initially be sold in Europe. In total, the first electric car from the new Scandinavian brand will initially be sold in just six European markets.

Those markets will be Norway, Sweden, Germany, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Belgium, and Polestar is studying new markets for future expansion. However, while trying to decide which other markets will have access to the 2, Polestar has already revealed the prices of its first 100% electric model for the initial six markets.

Therefore, here are the prices for Polestar 2 in the six European markets where it will be initially marketed:

  • Germany: 58,800 euros
  • Belgium: 59,800 euros
  • Netherlands: 59,800 euros
  • Norway: 469 000 NOK (about 46 800 euros)
  • United Kingdom: 49 900 pounds (about 56 100 euros)
  • Sweden: 659 000 SEK (about 60 800 euros)

Created with the intention of competing with the Tesla Model 3, Polestar 2 was developed based on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, being the second model of the recently created Polestar.

Equipped with two electric motors, the Polestar 2 offers a total of 408 hp and 660 Nm of torque, figures that allow the electric saloon with crossover genes to fulfill 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5s.

Polestar 2

Powering the two electric motors is a battery with a capacity of 78 kWh made up of 27 modules. Integrated in the lower part of the Polestar 2, it offers an autonomy of around 500 km.
