Ford is committed to electrifying its range and by 2021 intends to launch 18 electrified vehicles . Now, to convince customers of the added value of electrified vehicles, Ford created the “Go Electric” roadshow.

The objective behind the “Go Electric” roadshow is, through practical activities, to demystify electrification and inspire confidence in consumers, helping them to better understand the various electrification options (mild-hybrid, hybrids, plug-in hybrids and 100% electric models).

In total, the “Go Electric” roadshow will tour the UK for six months, then reach other European markets.

Our European roadshow will help demystify electrified vehicle options for all our customers, providing them with all the information they need to make a choice that suits their lifestyle.

According to the American brand, Ford Europe engineers were involved, from the beginning, in the development of the Mustang Mach-E. The aim was to ensure that the dynamic behavior of the electric SUV is tailored to European roads and the tastes of drivers from the “Old Continent”.

More infrastructure = more electrification

While investing in the electrification of its range and in the “Go Electric” roadshow, Ford also decided to help increase the charging infrastructure.

Therefore, in addition to having invested in the creation of 1000 charging stations placed in its own premises, the North American brand continues to be a shareholder in the IONITY network (of which it was one of the founders).

Infrastructure is critical to helping consumers be confident in the electrical transition, but we won't be able to do it all alone. Accelerated investment by key stakeholders across the UK and Europe is more important than ever

In addition, Ford also partnered with NewMotion. This partnership allows the brand's customers to access one of the largest public charging networks in Europe through FordPass Connect.

The goal is that, through this app, Ford customers can locate one of the 125,000 locations on the FordPass Charging Network in 21 countries, pay and monitor the charging of their vehicles.
