Bigger, more spacious and only with five-door versions. This is the new generation of the smallest Audi that uses the MQB A0 platform in this new generation, which also serves as the basis for the Volkswagen Polo and the SEAT Ibiza.
The new Audi A1 Sportback appears with 4.03 m (56 mm more than its predecessor), but maintains practically the same width (1.74 m) and height (1.41 m) and will be available in three equipment levels, Basic, Advanced and S Line .
In terms of engines, it will have turbo engines with three and four cylinders, including the well-known 1.0 l three-cylinder, in addition to four cylinders of 1.5 l and 2.0 l. Audi also revealed that the powers will range from 95 to 200 hp, it is not known if the model will receive diesel engines.
Interior follows in the footsteps of older brothers
The evolution between the generations is evident inside the new A1 Sportback, with the small Audi featuring a new design in which new air vents stand out, extending across the entire width of the dashboard in front of the passenger. or the optional Audi Virtual Cockpit, which makes the instrument panel become fully digital with a 10.25″ screen.

The luggage compartment capacity also benefited from the increase in overall dimensions and now offers 335 l of capacity. The new generation also includes a series of safety and driving assistance systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Parking Assistance and Front Pre Sense — which can detect potential dangers, warn the driver of an impending collision and even brake if the driver does not react.
The arrival of the new Audi A1 Sportback in Portugal is expected soon, until the end of the year.
