Another "new" Honda S2000 for sale, 146 km and… never owned

Anonim

After a few months ago we told you the story of a Honda S2000 with 18 years and 800 km that was sold for around 42 000 euros, today we bring you another one Honda S2000 that looks like a time capsule.

Produced in 2009 (the last year of production of the S2000), this Honda is in immaculate condition, having covered only 91 miles (about 146 km) in about 10 years . In addition to the perfect state of repair of the paintwork and the interior, this S2000 also features the original tires and the stand sticker.

In addition to having barely walked in the last 10 years, this S2000 was also not registered by a particular customer. , which makes this Honda S2000 has never had an owner, moving from stand to stand over 10 years.

To be auctioned on the Bring a Trailer website (there are three days to go until the end of the auction) the highest bid for this S2000 is, for now, in the 70 thousand dollars (about 61,700 euros), but we think that this figure should inflate a little more in the coming days.

Interestingly, this authentic unicorn is being offered for sale by Formula Indy driver Graham Rahal, the same one who bought the S2000 we talked about at the beginning of this text. The seller claims that the car still has a factory warranty until April 19 (we don't know what warranty it refers to) and that, despite the low mileage, the engine works well.

Belonging to the AP2 generation, this S2000 no longer has the F20C but rather an evolution, the F22C1, with 2.2 l, 240 hp and 220 Nm of torque — an engine that was only available in the US and Japan. Power is transmitted to the wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.

March 1, 2019 Update: This Honda S2000 ended up selling for the $70,000 (about €61,700) we're referring to at the time of publication of this article, making it apparently the most expensive S2000 ever.
