One of the most sophisticated and technologically advanced cars on the market, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223) already has prices for the Portuguese market.
In total, the German top of the range will be available between us with two engines (one petrol and one diesel) and in two variants: standard and long.
The petrol offer is based on the most powerful variant of the M 256, a 3.0 l inline six-cylinder supported by a mild-hybrid 48 V system (the EQ BOOST) which, in this variant (the S 500 4 MATIC) comes with a 435 hp (plus 22 hp from the mild-hybrid system) between 5900 and 6100 rpm and 520 Nm between 1800 and 5500 rpm.
In the case of the Diesel engine, the OM 656, it does not have the support of a mild-hybrid system but is also presented in its most powerful interpretation (the S 400 d 4MATIC) delivering 330 hp between 3600 and 4200 rpm and 700 Nm between 1200 and 3200 rpm.

Common to both engines is the fact that they are associated with the 9G-TRONIC transmission, a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
How much does it cost?
Scheduled for arrival at dealerships in December, the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223) will see its prices start in Portugal at the €135,500 requested for the S 400 d 4MATIC.
