Alpine XB7 , this small builder's interpretation of the BMW X7 takes the performance and dynamic potential of the German brand's vast SUV to a new level.
Starting with its engine, such as the BMW X7 M50i, we have a twin turbo V8 with 4.4 l capacity, but here with more expressive 621 hp (+91 hp) and 800 Nm (+50 Nm) — as early as 2000 rpm and remains so up to 5000 rpm. Transmitting all this to all four wheels is an eight-speed automatic transmission, which Alpina says it has “redesigned” in terms of electronics and mechatronics.
Even with more than 2.6 tons of mass, the Alpina XB7 promises to move really well: 4.2s in 0-100 km/h (-0.5s) and 200 km/ha to be reached in 14.9s . Maximum speed? 290 km/h… li-mi-ta-dos.

To keep this powerful and fast wheeled flat under control, the chassis received special attention from Alpina engineers. In addition to reinforcements that have increased structural rigidity, the Alpina XB7 is equipped with pneumatic springs — ground clearance can vary by 40 mm — and active stabilizer bars.

The suspension geometry was also revised, resulting in more negative camber; as well as the bushings on the rear axle are stiffer to reduce body adornment. The rear axle also has an electronically controlled self-locking differential.
To slow down and stop such a massive mass, the XB7 comes equipped with items from Brembo. At the front we can find discs measuring 395 mm in diameter and 36 mm in thickness, with four fixed pistons. At the rear, the discs are 398 mm in diameter and 28 mm thick with floating clamps. If that is not enough, Alpina offers superior performance perforated discs and inserts as an option.
Ground connection is provided by 21-inch wheels on 285/45 R21 tires. But there are also even larger 23-inch forged wheels as an option, featuring Alpina's classic 20-spoke design, complemented by Pirelli tires specifically developed for the XB7.

In addition to the specific wheels that differentiate the Alpina XB7 from the rest of the X7, we also see a new aerodynamically optimized front bumper to reduce negative lift and achieve maximum stability — at 290 km/h with a vehicle of this type, it's good to have stability to give and sell.
Inside, you can choose between a six or seven-seat configuration with plenty of room for personalization. There are several options for coverings, such as Lavalina leather, as well as for various types of piping, sewing, embroidery and engraving. The iDrive control is in crystal, with the laser engraved Alpina logo. Nor was the digital instrument panel unscathed, featuring Alpine-specific graphics.
