It has been available on the national market for some time in the version equipped with a 64 kWh battery, the Kia e-Niro now has a new variant: e-Niro Move 39.
As the name implies, this version of the electric crossover uses a battery with a capacity of 39.2 kWh, which allowed Kia to lower the asking price for its model.
Available from 34,150 euros (a value that already includes a €10,000 launch campaign), the e-Niro Move 39 offers a range of 289 km (WLTP) that goes up to 405 km on the urban WLTP circuit.
Less battery, less power
As in Hyundai's “cousin”, the Kauai EV, this version of the e-Niro with a larger battery also has a lower power value than the variant with the 64 kWh battery.
Thus, instead of the 204 hp offered by the variant with the larger battery, the e-Niro Move 39 offers 136 hp . Torque remains at 395 Nm. As for performance, 100 km/h is reached in 9.8s and the top speed is 155 km/h (limited).
Despite being more affordable, the Kia e-Niro Move 39 does not forgo equipment such as the 10.25” center screen, the rear camera, the smart key, the electric parking brake, the seats in fabric and leather, and the paddles for managing the intensity of regenerative braking.
As far as the guarantee is concerned, it continues to extend for seven years or 150,000 km and covers the battery and electric motor. Finally, as a result of a partnership with Ecochoice, responsible for the Charge2Go brand, Kia Portugal offers its customers the GOElectric power supply card.
