Audi Rennsport (RS) are doing well and recommended. And of the increasingly extensive RS family, one of the most outstanding members is undoubtedly the Audi RS 4 Avant, direct successor to the lineage inaugurated by the mythical Audi RS2.
Compared to the pre-facelift B8 generation, there is a lot of novelty in terms of aesthetics. We have a completely redesigned front, with a new Singleframe grille, wider and more stylish than in the previous version, with a honeycomb structure and a specific RS bumper with side air intakes. At the rear, the double RS diffuser and specific bumper underline the sporty appearance of this sports van.
17% more efficient engine
In terms of mechanics, we continue to rely on the Audi RS 4 Avant on the services of the 2.9-litre V6 TFSI engine. The numbers are the same as the generation that has now ceased functions: 450 hp (331 kW) , available between 5700 rpm and 6700 rpm, and a maximum torque of 600 Nm, between 1900 rpm and 5000 rpm.
Values that allow an acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 4.1s and a top speed of 250 km/h (with the optional Dynamic RS Package, the top speed increases to 280 km/h).
The big news was the 17% gain in efficiency of this engine compared to the previous generation. Without specifying where these improvements were achieved, Audi now announces a combined consumption of 9.6 l/100 km and a combined CO2 emissions of 218 g/km — WLTP cycle.

As it should be, all-wheel drive is delivered to the quattro system. In normal driving the torque distribution across the axles is 40:60 (ft/tr), in sports driving the transfer of torque to the front axle can go up to 70% and up to 85% on the rear axle.
As an option, the RS dynamic package is also available with specific elements, such as the sports suspension RS sport plus with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), which includes adjustable shock absorbers in three stages and which are connected to each other diagonally through hydraulic circuits and a valve central.

When cornering, the valves regulate the fluid flow in the front wheel damper placed outside the bend. Result? Increases support on that wheel and reduces body lean and roll.
The RS brake system, with shoes optionally painted in red, has ventilated and perforated discs of 375 mm at the front and 330 mm at the rear, but the ceramic RS brakes with shoes painted in grey, red or blue are available as an option. 400 mm at the front.

The Audi RS4 Avant 2020 is offered in Portugal for a price starting at 112 388 euros.
