After a considerable wait, the plug-in hybrid variant of the Mercedes-Benz GLE 350de and GLE 350de Coupé arrived on the domestic market.
If aesthetically the differences are few compared to the other GLE and GLE Coupé, the same does not happen under the bonnet.
There we find a four-cylinder diesel engine with 2.0 l, 194 hp and 400 Nm that is associated with an electric motor with 100 kW (136 hp) and 440 Nm. The end result is a combined power of 320 hp and 700 Nm.
The difference with other Mercedes-Benz plug-in hybrids that use the same powertrain lies in the battery capacity, which is now much greater. This now has 31.2 kWh of capacity, which allows autonomy of up to 106 km in 100% electric mode (still in accordance with the NEDC cycle) — the electric range should be close to 100 km in WLTP mode, almost doubling in relation to the brand's other proposals.

Both the Mercedes-Benz GLE 350de and GLE 350de Coupé can be recharged up to 80% in 20 minutes at a fast charging station, while charging up to 100% at the same station takes 30 minutes.
How much will it cost?
Finally, with regard to prices, the Mercedes-Benz GLE 350de starts at 84,700 euros, the GLE 350de Coupé is available from 96,650 euros.
