It is precisely from the Panamera E-Hybrid that the new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid receives its driving group. That is, the combination of the 3.0 V6 Turbo with 340 hp with a 136 hp electric motor. The result is a combined potency of 462 hp and 700 Nm of maximum torque — available immediately at idle.
The four-wheel transmission is carried out through the automatic eight-speed gearbox, which we already know from the other Cayenne, with the disengagement clutch now being operated through an electromechanical system, ensuring faster response times.
The German brand promises combined consumption between 3.4 and the 3.2 l/100 km (differences justified by the different dimensions of the available wheels) and emissions between 78 and 72 g/km, still according to the NEDC cycle — expect higher and more realistic numbers under the WLTP cycle.
Low consumption with only electrons
Naturally, to achieve consumption as low as these, it is only possible because of the possibility of being able to travel in 100% electric mode — up to 44 km of autonomy , but allowing speeds of up to 135 km/h with zero emissions.
The Li-ion battery pack has a capacity of 14.1 kWh — 3.1 kWh more than its predecessor — and is located under the trunk floor. It takes 7.8 hours to fully charge the batteries with a 230 V connection. If you choose the optional 7.2 kW charger (3.6 kW as standard), the time drops to 2.3 hours. The charging process can be monitored by the Porsche Connect app.
Electric motor guarantees high performance
The figures presented reveal a Cayenne hybrid that is more powerful and capable than its predecessor, which is reflected in its performance. Not less than 2.3 tonnes in weight, but even so, the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid is capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 5.0s, 160 km/h in 11.5s and reaching 253 km/h of top speed.
To achieve these numbers, especially acceleration, Porsche used the same drive system as the 918 Spyder, which allows the electric motor to be used in all driving modes allowed by the Sport Chrono Package. In other words, whenever we press the accelerator, the maximum 700 Nm will always be available.

More and new options
The new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid also adds new arguments to the SUV. For the first time, a color head-up display is available; and new features like Porsche InnoDrive co-driver — adaptive cruise control — massage seats, heated windshield and remote-controlled independent heating.
Finally, and for the first time on a Porsche, there is the option of 22-inch wheels — the Cayenne E-Hybrid comes with 19-inch wheels as standard.
