The Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne SUVs will be called to the workshops for a preventive recall related to a problem at the level of the brake pedal.

Models produced between 2011 and 2016 will suffer a preventive recall worldwide, due to alleged problems in the brake pedal, a problem that was verified in some tests carried out by the Volkswagen group's subsidiaries.

NOT TO BE MISSED: Volkswagen Phaeton is no longer produced

About 391,000 Volkswagen Touareg and 409,477 Porsche Cayenne may be affected by this issue and will be called immediately to dealerships for repair. Repair time should not exceed 30 minutes and will be free.

The source of the problem lies in the construction of the brake pedal, which may have a defective part that can come loose and lead to poor braking.

According to the targeted brands,

“The problem was identified during an internal inspection and has already been resolved on the production lines. This one recall it is merely preventive, so, to date, no accident related to this problem has been recorded”.
