Caught, still in the development phase, through spy photos taken of development units with little camouflage, the truth is that the restyling of the Audi A4 saloon and A4 Avant now officially unveiled, it ends up confirming what was already expected: an almost imperceptible update, in which the greatest difficulty will even be detecting the differences for the model being marketed.
Thus, differences in the front bumper, sportier in the S Line versions, to which is added a U-shaped frame around the fog lamps, flanked, in turn, by a small honeycomb grille and air intakes designed for to cool the tires and braking system.
The Singleframe front grille, on the S Line versions, now features metallic 3D-looking blades, with a blade limiting the lower part of the bumper.
At the back, changes were also made to the bumper, starting with the new tailpipes, now trapezoidal, while the diffuser that divides them becomes narrower.
As for the wheels, with a new design, they are now available in sizes ranging from 16 to 19 inches.
S Line Competition becomes democratic
Debuting in the A4 family, the S Line Competition equipment package, synonymous with exterior applications at the front in Selenite Silver, an RS rear spoiler on the A4 Avant, in addition to, among other details, the Turbo Blue paintwork. Also showing the four rings on the doors, in silver or black, in a lower position; 19” Audi Sport wheels, brake calipers in red, sports suspension and LED optics.
Inside the cabin, in addition to the interior decoration package, including applications in RS carbon, a multifunction sports steering wheel and equally sporty seats, partly in leather, the possibility of opting also for optional S sport seats in Magma Red or in other colours.
Restyling available later this year
Still without dates or prices for Portugal, the Audi A4 saloon and van (Avant) will be available, in Germany, for order, from the third quarter of 2018.
