Today, the most commercially successful model in the British brand's trajectory, the Evoque was launched in 2010 precisely in the three-door Coupé format. Although it was always the five-door, which appeared later, to dominate sales.
Moreover, according to figures already released by the British brand, of all the Evoque sold so far, only 5% were with the Coupé bodywork.
Manufactured based on the Jaguar Land Rover Group's D8 platform, the Evoque should have a new generation as early as 2019, after seven years of marketing the current model.
With the launch of a new generation, the manufacturer seeks to counteract the downward trend in sales that the crossover has been experiencing in recent years. And that, just in the last fiscal year, it was 3.8%.
On the other hand, despite the decision to end the Coupé, Land Rover will also have already decided to keep, in the second generation of the model, the even more controversial — but also just as or more charming — Evoque Convertible.
